CAUSECAST is launching at TechCrunch50!

September 9, 2008 · 2 Comments

CAUSECAST is thrilled to announce the launch of our website at TechCrunch50! TechCrunch is the premiere tech blog dedicated to profiling and reviewing new Internet products and companies. TechCrunch50’s goal is to find the best start-ups and launch them in front of the technology industry’s most influential VCs, corporations, fellow entrepreneurs and press.

On Wednesday, September 10, CEO and founder Ryan Scott, along with Director of Business Development Sloane Berrent, will be presenting our website to the world. Think of what the Sundance Film Festival does for independent films—that’s what TechCrunch does for technology startups. Out of the more than 1,000 companies that applied to present at TechCrunch, only 50 companies were chosen. That makes CAUSECAST in the top 5% of emerging technology companies this year!

In six months, CAUSECAST has grown from a mere dream to a reality with a core team of extremely dedicated people and countless others working for the cause. The entire team has been working tirelessly in order to give you a resource in which to learn and take action, all in an entertaining and empowering social platform. We are thrilled for the site to go live, and for YOU to check out what we’ve been working on! We also want to thank our founding group of leaders and nonprofit organizations who have been with us from the beginning—Thanks for sticking with us!

    Good luck.

Please make it easier to give!

My #1 bugbear with charities right now is that give to them once and get junk mail for the rest of your life.

My #2 bugbear is that each charity seems to have its own roll-your-own credit card processing site. These are often flakey and who knows how secure they are.
