Hey y’all!

So, I Live Here is throwing their first fundraiser at the Causecast office this Saturday night. This epic dance/drink/eat/auction/fundraise party will also be the first really big event thrown in our new space, making it a landmark night for both our organizations. Desks, office chairs and computers will be swept aside to reveal an awesome dance floor and party space – our office’s alter ego.

The event will be hosted by Mia Kirshner, the founder of I Live Here. Horrified by conditions of the Kachere Juvenile Prison located in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, Mia felt compelled to help the incarcerated boys. In addition to addressing the basic human rights and needs of the youth, I Live Here works with local teachers to provide the inmates creative outlets through writing and art. If supporting a great cause in a great space wasn’t enough, Operation USA and CODEPINK are also co-hosting the party. A couple of the phenomenal KCRW DJ’s (the best radio station anywhere) will be spinning the place till midnight, along with DJ Kid Lightning . The cover/donation is only $25 (presale) and $30 at the door and you get free food & drinks all night.
